Psychosocial Supports

Commonwealth Psychosocial Support Program (CPSP)

CPSP provides non- clinical community- based supports both one on one and in small groups to help you achieve your recovery goals. The program may assist you by building capacity and stability in one or more of the following areas:

  • Social skills and friendships
  •  Fostering family connections
  • Managing daily living needs
  • Financial management and budgeting
  • Finding and maintaining a home
  • Vocational skills and goals, including volunteering
  • Educational and training goals
  • Maintaining physical and mental wellbeing
  • Managing drug and alcohol addictions
  • Building broader life skills including confidence

Case management support for CPSP participants is limited and should be used to help participants to link to essential supports. These supports could include:

  • Testing eligibility for and applying for NDIS
  • Assisting you to access a mental health care plan
  • Linking with psychosocial support groups
  • Linking you with other services that will support their mental health
