Whether you’re dealing with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, or other mental health concerns, our team are here to provide expert guidance and support.
Dr Gilbert works alongside our existing multidisciplinary team within Fortify Health Group to review a patient’s care with a holistic lens, provide options for wrap around support from a range of allied health disciplines, and provide expertise and evidence to support application forms, such as NDIS access request forms.
How do I request an appointment?
To access our psychiatric services you must have a referral from your current General Practitioner (GP). Your GP can send the referral directly to us via Medical Objects, fax (07 3523 3717) or via email to info@fortifyhealth.com.au, or provide you with a copy of the referral to send us.
All new referrals must be approved by Dr Gilbert prior to being added to our waitlist. New referrals are reviewed weekly and you will be contacted once your referral has been accepted and are on our waitlist.
If your referral has been rejected your GP will be advised as to why we have been unable to accept your referral.
Please note: Dr Gilbert does not currently accept referrals for ADHD assessment and management, and generally does not work with children under the age of 14.
How long is the waitlist?
There is currently exceptionally high demand for psychiatry services across the greater Brisbane area. While we aim to book you in as soon as we can we currently expect that there is a 3-4 month wait for new patients.
How much will it cost?
Dr Gilbert currently offers bulk-billed initial assessment appointments for new patients, and offers follow up appointments with affordable out-of-pocket costs. For more information on our fees, please click the button below.
