Fee Schedule
Fortify Health Group offers a range of services for both private and NDIS funded supports, and has Medicare and private health rebated services available (dependent on eligibility criteria).
Fees are current as at 1 July 2024.
Medicare-rebated services
Medicare rebates are available for up to 10 sessions per calendar year under the Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative. These services require a referral from a GP or psychiatrist and a valid Mental Health Care Plan.
We also provide physiotherapy services eligible for rebate for participants with a valid Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP). Patients can access up to five sessions per calendar year.
Private health
Some of our services may be eligible to claim from your private health provider. Please note, counselling and provisional psychology services will only be accepted by some private health companies; please check with your provider to confirm your claim entitlements.
NDIS-funded services
We provide psychology, physiotherapy, social work, support coordination and psychosocial recovery coaching for NDIA-managed, plan managed and self-managed participants as per the most current NDIS pricing arrangements.
You must have a current NDIS plan with the relevant funding type to be eligible.
Report writing & letters
If you require a report/letter to be provided by your practitioner, this will involve an additional cost and should be discussed with your practitioner. Report writing is billed at an hourly rate.

PHN-funded Multicultural Mental Health Services
Fortify Health Group delivers multicultural mental health services funded by the Brisbane South Primary Health Network (PHN) for no cost to eligible participants. For more information on eligibility and services available please click HERE.
Cancellation Policy
Notice for Cancellations
All clients are required to provide at least one full business day for any appointment cancellation. This is necessary to manage our appointment schedule and be able to offer appointments to other clients who may be waiting for a space to become available.
Cancellation Fee
If a client fails to provide the required one business day notice for a cancellation, they will be charged the full fee for the missed appointment. This fee is necessary to cover the time and resources allocated for the appointment. Cancellation fees must be paid at or before the next scheduled appointment.
Medicare rebates and bulk billing is not available for cancelled appointments and therefore the full fee for the service will apply.
Alternatives to Cancellation
To accommodate our clients’ needs and preferences, we may be able to offers alternative options to in-person appointments, depending on your individual circumstances, including telehealth or report writing/information gathering.
Psychiatry
PLEASE NOTE: Dr Gilbert’s books are currently closed for new referrals as at 01/07/2024.
You must have a valid referral from your GP to be able to access bulk billed and Medicare rebated services.
Initial appointments for new patients with Dr Gilbert are bulk-billed.
Follow up appointments require full-fee payment at time of the appointment, and after Medicare rebates, the out-of-pocket fee per session is $150 (Please ensure you have funds readily available to cover the full amount, as Medicare will reimburse the rebate amount directly to you).
Please note, Dr Gilbert does not currently accept referrals for ADHD assessment or management.

General Psychology
The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends $300 per 50-minute session, however our fees are substantially lower than this.
A valid Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) or Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM) is required to be eligible for Medicare rebates.

NDIS Services
NDIS services are available for NDIA-managed, plan-managed and self-managed participants who have the right funding in their plan. Services are charged according to the most recent NDIS pricing arrangement.
Report writing, support letters and assessments attract the same hourly rate for the relevant service. Where applicable, the practitioner will charge up to 30 minutes per direction for travel where services are delivered face to face outside our office locations.
