Mental Health Conditions or Disabilities

Fortify Health Group offers psychological assessments that diagnose and evaluate the functional impact of mental health conditions or disabilities. Our assessments aim to identify and diagnose mental health conditions or disabilities based on the criteria outlined in the DSM-TR.

We strive to provide individuals with a clear picture of the functional impact of their mental health condition or disability. This knowledge can help guide treatment plans and support individuals in accessing the resources and accommodations they may need to thrive.

NOTE: Assessment packages listed below apply to psychological testing only. Occupational Therapy assessment packages coming soon, in the meantime please contact us for an individualised quote.

Functional Capacity Assessments

Functional Capacity Assessment is a comprehensive evaluation that focuses on understanding and evaluating an individual’s ability to conduct daily life independently psychological, emotional, and functional abilities. This assessment involves a thorough examination of various aspects, including mental health, social functioning, and overall well-being.

The primary goal of the assessment is to identify and comprehend the individual’s capabilities in these areas. It helps in establishing an accurate diagnosis, developing customised treatment plans, and providing recommendations for support services. By assessing the psychosocial and functional aspects, this evaluation provides valuable insights into an individual’s strengths, challenges, and needs, empowering them to receive appropriate support and interventions.

Depending on the assessment focus tests and assessments we may use include:

  • WHODAS (World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule)
  • Life Skills Profile 16
  • ABAS (Adaptive Behaviour Assessment System)
  • Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-5 (SCID) or relevant assessment measures based on presenting concern

Fees are an approximation only and are dependent on a variety of factors, such as number and types of assessments required, supporting evidence already available from other practitioners or the age of the participant (children often require more time for consultation with stakeholders such as parents and teachers).

Medicare rebates may be accessible for specific components of the assessment package.
