Question:
If you were to describe FHG in one sentence to someone, what would you hope they understand about our purpose?
Fortify exists to meet complexity with the right expertise, whether that means navigating system barriers, coordinating care or providing specialist clinical oversight. Our purpose is to challenge the gaps that prevent people from accessing the care they need, and to bring the right team together to help them live with greater stability, dignity and possibility.

Question:
What is a non-negotiable for you when it comes to Fortify Health Groups Standard of delivering services?
For me, a non-negotiable is remembering, remembering the human.
You have to see every client as a person with their own story. I often ask the team: if this were your auntie, uncle, brother, sister, mum or dad, would this be the standard of care you would expect?
If the answer is no, then we need to pause, challenge ourselves, and do better.

Question:
What problem did I see that made me feel Fortify needed to exist?
The problem was clear: people with the most complex needs were being passed between systems that were not designed to work together. On paper, the NDIS, PHNs, Medicare and private health should create a safety net. In reality, people with multiple conditions, languages, risks or funding needs often fall through the gaps.
There was also a workforce gap. Too often, support workers were expected to manage situations that required clinical skill and structure. That was not fair to participants, families or workers.
Fortify was created to close that gap: bringing clinical depth, disability experience, multicultural understanding and strong governance together, so people with complex needs receive the standard of care they deserve.
